Hot Stuff: Le Cordon Bleu Is Now Open In Manila For Culinary Hopefuls!

Are you passionate for the culinary arts? Did you ever want to know how it feels to be mentored by world-class chefs like Gordon Ramsey? We Filipinos have an innate sense of hospitality and love for food, some it's no surprise that some of us may want to pursue a career in this track. Luckily, there is an opportunity for us to learn the ropes to such a competitive industry in the form of Le Cordon Bleu! The Le Cordon Bleu Institute is a highly regarded institute that has been attended by notable chefs including Sandy Daza who was present at this event and said that he "felt an attachment to the institute" due to his education there when he was a teenager.

Aside from that, Le Cordon Bleu's initial offering which is the four-year undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Restaurant Entrepreneurship program combines the curriculum of Le Cordon Bleu with the liberal arts curriculum of the Ateneo towards the "formation of the total person" while teaching tools and techniques needed to be able to thrive in the competitive restaurant industry.

Premium Learning Experience

Ateneo has spared no cost towards investing in the Le Cordon Bleu Institute which includes facilities at the Aréte in its Loyola Heights Campus and another one to be built in the Ateneo Professional Schools Building at Rockwell Center in Makati City. This shows Ateneo's dedication towards making Le Cordon Bleu a premium learning institute and providing a top-notch educational experience for its students.

During the formal launch, there was a tour of facilities including its cuisine and pastry kitchens, as well as a live cooking demo of Black Squid Risotto and Pan Seared Red Snapper with Malunggay Foam. It was also mentioned each student will be given an individual work station and top-of-the-line knife set.

Excellence Found In Our Own Country

Through this venture, Le Cordon Bleu aims to boost national economic development by tapping the Filipinos' strength which is the hospitality industry. We have an abundance of excellent Filipino professionals but have to go abroad to be able to study or work in world-class institutions and establishments. Through the launch of Le Cordon Bleu in the Philippines, the institute hopes not only to upgrade the skills of its students but to harness their potential to create opportunities at home.
