The Six Fix: Songs That'll Make You Believe That EXO's CHEN Is The "OST King"

The Six Fix: Songs That'll Make You Believe That EXO's CHEN Is The

At last, the solo debut of EXO's Chen is almost upon us. He will be laying down his six-track album titled April, And A Flower on our hands come April 1st. And while that excites our EXO-L hearts, we still have the slightest idea of what kind of music he's working on. But whatever it is, we'll take it, Kim Jongdae! Or we can just turn to his extensive discography where we might see hints of where his sound could be leaning to.

Chennie has long proven what his musical apt can do from writing songs for EXO to taking part in musicals. But vocal-wise, his contribution to K-dramas' soundtracks might just be our fave thing about him, TBH! So in honor of the group's main vocalist finally getting what he (and every Soondingie) deserves, we round up his songs exclusively made to give us the feels while watching our OTPs onscreen. After all, he isn't called the "King of OST" for no reason!

1. "The Best Luck"

Chen sang it for the 2014 drama It's Okay, That's Love starring Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin and made us all wish the two lead stars ended up together IRL. Can they?

2. "Everytime"

This is collaboration between Chen and Punch for Hallyu's golden couple Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki's drama from 2016, Descendants of the Sun. Yep, our utlimate ship was sailed by Chen himself!

3. "For You"

From the heartbreaking 2016 series Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, "For You" is performed by EXO's sub-unit CBX which includes Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin. Listening to it brings back all the tears, but how can we move on when it's such a masterpiece?

4. "Can't Say Goodbye (I'm Not Okay)"

No, we're not okay! This track gave us a hard time controlling our emotions while binge-watching the 2017 suspense drama Missing 9. What did we do to deserve this, Chennie?

5. "Cherry Blossom Love Song"

This came out as Chen's support to fellow member D.O.'s period drama opposite actress Nam Ji Hyun, 100 Days My Prince (2018). His golden voice still rings in our head!

6. "Make It Count"

Chen's most recent OST release "Make It Count" is included in Yoo In Na and Lee Dong Wook's new project, Touch Your Heart. The idol's participation in it gave fans more reason to anticipate the actors' onscreen reunion!

There is so much in his vocals that definitely raises the mood of every show, and we won't be surprised if his upcoming records get featured in another one. We can't wait for it, King Jongdae!
