Love Actually: Learn How These Celeb Couples Bond Over Cooking!

Filipino food is some of the best in the world, with indigenous and international roots combining to delicious effect. All around the world, Filipino cooks are pulling in hungry customers—one London stall recently bagged a 25 million peso investment, showing just how good national dishes are. There is plenty of inspiration for would-be cooks, including a few of the country’s favourite celebrity couples.

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. No article about celebrity home cooks would be complete without the Agoncillos. The 40-year-old actress and food vlogger remains in hot demand, having signed a fresh media contract in December. At home, she and her fit husband Ryan are often seen on Instagram, working in the kitchen—usually with Judy Ann huddled behind their commercial grade oven—preparing modern twists on Filipino classics. Judy Ann is the more natural cook, but Ryan is your go-to if you want to see her in action.

Anne Curtis and Erwan Heusaff. Filipino-Australian actress Anne Curtis is an online superstar, with 11 million Instagram followers to date. While slightly in her shadow, hubby Erwan Heusaff still holds 2.5 million followers and regularly updates them with meals he cooks in the house or in tandem with Anne. In December, he shared a brief but charming story that showed their joint love for turmeric. As a chef by trade, Erwan has a greater level of updates with food—so if you’re looking for the foodie experience, go towards his channel.

Been trying to figure out a Pizza dough recipe that will work in most scenarios in the Philippines. First attempt was ok, but it still needs a lot of work. Still trying different flours (with various protein ratios) to make sure to create the right water absorption rates. Been through about 3 styles already, now going to try mixing them in various ways and then cooking the raw pizza in different appliances from wood burning to electric. I've read a couple of recipes that call for "room temperature" but this is usually based on European rooms. It's important i try and keep my studio at 25 degrees centigrade. We use both the Samsung Wind-Free Air Conditioner (no wind cooling!) and the Split Type Aircon Inverter in the office. Helps us save on Energy consumption. Their #SummerSaleAway is happening. Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. Kim and her basketball playing partner are best known for their extravagant trips around the world, posted notably on their Instagram and Facebook accounts. However, neither shy away from showing off their joint cooking prowess. Kim, in particular, is a keen cook from the looks of her social media. What they bring to the table is a hint of Chinese cuisine, given their heritage. Less time has been devoted to cooking lately, but once things calm down, fans can expect to see more culinary creations.

Filipino food is truly international and a delight for the senses. When you’re looking for inspiration, the celebrity couples winning your hearts could be winning your stomach, too. Keep your eyes on IG, Facebook and the rest—there’ll always be someone else round the corner with another delicious dish.
