How to Make Saturday Night's Party Look Work For Sunday Morning

How to Make Saturday Night's Party Look Work For Sunday Morning

You had so much time painting the town red last night that you passed out once your head hit your pillow—and when you wake up the next morning, you realize that you didn't get to remove your makeup... and that you need to leave for Sunday family brunch in 10 minutes. What to do, what to do? Smudge your makeup lightly! Before you get appalled by the idea of "reusing" your makeup, listen up: The cool, undone look is a big thing this season, as seen on various runways around the world. While we're still advocates of removing makeup before hitting the sack, we also know that there are really just moments when you have to work with what you have.

Here are some tricks you can try if you want to recycle your made up face:

1. Use your fingers or a Q tip/cotton bud to lightly smudge your eyeliner or subtly wash out your smoky eye.

2. If your high octane pout is still intact, get a tissue and leave your kiss mark on it. A lot of the product will get transferred there, but you'll still need the help of your ring finger to make sure the remaining hue on your lips looks like a natural stain.

3. Use oil blotting paper to, of course make sure your face is not shiny, but also to lighten your contouring work.

The result is an ethereal, laidback look that will enable you to get to that brunch on time and looking your gorgeous best.
