A lot can happen in a year. And with Christmas just a few days away, don’t you ever find yourself wondering how you celebrated last year? Moreover, what exactly did you post on social media for the world to see?
With the holidays sandwiched between UAAP games, student atheletes are looking forward to take a much needed break at this time of the year. So, in case you want a quick throwback, here's a rundown of how your favorite players celebrated the festive season last year. There's no need to scroll through their social media feeds because we’ve compiled it for you! You’ll be surprised to see just how much or how little has changed in a year.
When we see the colors red and green, we instantly think of Christmas. But for the families of UP’s Diego Dario, and DLSU’s Jan Sobrevega and Kib Montalbo, the color of Christmas is as white as snow. Now we’re excited to see what colors they would be wearing this year!
Of course, matching colors isn’t the only way you can dress to impress in holiday group photos. The only thing that matters is that you look and feel good about yourself just like these lovely ladies from the UP Lady Fighting Maroons.
Whether it’s with family or friends, a boomerang video holiday greeting never gets old. Isn’t that right, Anton Asistio?
From yearning looks to matching outfits, we’re definitely feeling the Valentine’s spirit in December with these posts from FEU’s Rich Escoto and wife Regina Escoto, ADMU’s Tyler Tio and girlfriend Andi Lim, DLSU’s Kib Montalbo and girlfriend Desiree Cheng.

Posting a photo with your brother’s girlfriend isn’t such a bad idea either especially when she’s a fellow Blue Eagle athlete just like you. Looking good in matching denim jackets, Thirdy and Alyssa!
While other student athletes were busy with each of their family’s festivities, Juan Gómez de Liaño was busy getting ready for 2018. Could this be a premonition to how great 2018 would be for him? After all, he did score his career game high in a match against Adamson and secured his spot in the Mythical Five in the recently concluded UAAP Season 81 Men’s Basketball. How ready is he for 2019?
It’s also a good idea to post photos with Christmas elements in the background or foreground. Whatever works, really, as long as it looks good in pictures. These ladies from the UAAP Women’s Volleyball made sure that they brought their A-game in each of their artsy holiday posts! Cheers to DLSU’s Michelle Cobb, NU’s Jaja Santiago and Risa Sato, and DLSU’s Majoy Baron.
The holidays are already full blown, so we can expect these players (and hopefully more) to start flooding our feeds with festive greetings. Whose social media post are you excited to see this year?
