Turn Your Outfit Into A Style Gem, Just Like How Daniel Padilla Does It

Girls like Daniel Padilla so much they probably won’t even care what he’s wearing—they're simply enamored by him, just the way he is. Even in only a shirt and jeans (his signature look), he can sweep any girl off of her feet; add his staple sunglasses to the mix, and he’s got her wrapped around his fingers irrevocably. He’s one of the very few who can get away with wearing anything and still make anyone swoon, largely because of his one-of-a-kind charm that’s the right combination of bad boy edge and suave moves. Here are style pointers to help you look as charming as the Teen King:

The White Shirt and the Plaid Buttondown. A variation of his signature look of shirt and jeans is one with either a jacket or a buttondown, like this one he wore for an ASAP 20 production number—an uncomplicated look that you can actually put together in a snap. A standout combo is a plain white shirt with tough guy plaids.

Classic Suit. If Daniel looks fantastic in laidback styles, what more in a tailored suit? Prince Charming has come to life, and it’s the Teen King looking oh-so-dashing in a timeless black suit at Julia Barretto’s debut. To put a twist to the usual suit, opt for skinny trousers.

Barong Tagalog. Cool and national costume in the same sentence? Yes, right at the moment Daniel wore a barong Tagalog to the premiere of Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo. For Filipiniana events, make like him and shake things up by going for a barong with unusual embroidery.

Dapper with an Edge—and shoes not everyone can pull off. For the premiere night of Crazy Beautiful You, Daniel ventured into more experimental territory with a layered suit (styled by Ton Lao). It was a play on color and textures as he went for a purplish-brown jacket over his white buttondown, printed vest, and tie—completing his look is a pair of ripped jeans and ultra cool camel leather brogues. Don't be afraid to layer, just keep your pieces in one color family (or pick complementary shades).
