Sunnies Studios—the brainchild of Georgina Wilson, Martine Cajucom, Jess Wilson, and Bea Soriano—has been sending ripples in the eyewear industry for the past couple of years. And who's one not say it? The brand's frames have been praised not just for its reasonable pricing, but also since they're 'It' girl-stamped with style. The brand's success (it's now at over 40 branches) seems to have transcended beyond local shores, as it gets to launch its first international store in Vietnam very soon.

In an episode of #ABSCBNLifestyleInspo: On Set where we got to know Martine as next month's guest editor, the brand's creative director announced the news of the expansion. "Now that the brand’s been really established here, we can finally really start looking global because that’s always the original vision of Sunnies— was to be a truly global brand for the world not just for the Philippines, but showing the world what the Philippines can produce also."
But why Vietnam? "We've always wanted to expand in Asia. And Vietnam is so similar to the Philippines," Martine explained, "I think the (Vietnamese) market will be as receptive to the brand. It’s a very exciting time to be a brand coming out of Asia and we’re very excited to be one of the brands that people are looking at internationally and interested in." And how soon? "Within a month or two," Martine teased.
