For 12 years now, Chalk Bright Young Manila, the annual competition that gathers "campus hotties" around the Metro in search for the whole embodiment of the Filipino youth, has been a breeding ground for up-and-coming young personalities. This year, we changed things up, went without the competition, and handpicked the individuals who will make up this year's batch of #ChalkBYM.
Tapping 18 young people for Chalk's 18th anniversary, we bring you #ChalkGen18 which is composed of game-changing personalities in various fields such as entertainment, music, arts, sports, social media, social awareness, and student leadership.
Leading the pack are actor Edward Barber, actress Kira Balinger, and student athlete Juliana Gomez, all of whom are also celebrating their 18th year this 2018. Our roster also includes promising artists in their respective fields UNIQUE, Fern., Jayda, Shanne Dandan, Louis Espinosa, Lance Reblando. In the sports arena, we have Tyler Tio of the Ateneo Blue Eagles, Michelle Cobb of the De La Salle Lady Spikers, and paralympic athletes Joshua and Jerome Nelmida. We also have content creators Hannah Pangilinan and Bella Racelis. Rounding up our list are student leader Mikee De Vega, Laine Pardilla of UP Babaylan, and Kana Takahashi of Youth For Mental Health Coalition.
