Every time we see more of the world, we can’t help but have certain wanderers on our ‘judgy’ radar. Some go the extra mile for the ‘gram to the point of irritating their fellow travelers, while others just seem to treat diverse cultures with a lack of respect. Agoda’s global survey on the most annoying travel habits put noisy travelers (57%), travelers glued to their devices (47%), those insensitive to cultural nuances (46%), mass tour groups (36%), and selfie-takers (21%) in the top five.
Tourists who can’t put their phone down while traveling tend to be irksome to nearly half of the respondents. Those who are on solo ventures on a holiday have almost two hours (117 minutes) of their day on their mobile devices. Sounds normal? That’s 15% more time than when they are jet-setting with their peers (100 minutes) and 26% more time than when they are with their relatives (86 minutes).
