Hot Stuff: Here's What To Expect At This Year's AsiaPOP Comicon



The biggest and most-awaited pop culture convention AsiaPOP Comicon Manila is back to unveil a whole new level of geek experience! Set to happen on July 27 to 29 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Director Abdulla Mahmood promises that this is going to be their best one yet!

From superstars to artists who have made a huge impact on the pop culture scene, leading the pop culture event's first batch of Hollywood actors are Finn Jones and Jessicia Henwick from the popular Marvel series Iron Fist. AsiaPop Comic Con Manila had also revealed their exiciting lineup of judges for The CAGE (Cosplay Authority Global Challenge), the leading cosplay competition in the country where talented cosplayers compete for cash and prizes totaling around $18,000, cosplayers can expect to see talented Filipino-American costume designer Philip Odango A.K.A Canvas Cosplay and video game cosplayer from Italy Leon Chiro who would be making his first appearance in the country!

Of course, AsiaPop ComicCon Manila wouldn't be complete without inviting a pool of talented and creative artists like Mexican comic-book colorist Alex Sinclair, multi-awarded comic book illustrator Lan Medina, Endless Wartime comic book artist Mike McKone, American painter Phil Noto, Star Wars comic book artist Brian Muir, Filipino-American comic book artist Whilce Portacio, and co-founder of tokidoki Simone Legno which would showcase their talents and works to thousands of pop culture enthusiasts at the event.

Expect to hear more exciting announcements with the upcoming pop culture event because this is definitely their most anticipated one yet! Tickets are now available via SM Tickets website,, and at all SM Tickets outlets, with ticket prices PhP650 (one-day pass), PhP950 (two-day pass), and PhP1,150 (three-day pass). These will all give ticketholders an access to stage activities, performances, and the main exhibition floor. Plus, the event is free for children aged five years and below for all days!
