Nowadays, our so-called "bucket lists" are turning more into heavily scribbled scratch papers, as traveling fast becomes a cheap, accessible necessity among millennials. Jet-setting will soon fade into a tired, uncool routine, so much so cruising gradually turns into a new thing among the adventurous lot. Cruise trips often boast of its set of unique destinations, cost-efficient prices, and the Instagrammable ships and its interiors itself. While going on a ferry trip is more expensive and time-consuming than flying on a plane to get to your desired vacay place, well, that's all the kind of charm there is. This summer, Star Cruises answers to the ocean's call as it docks its 269-meter cruise ship SuperStar Virgo in Manila anew.

From March to May, SuperStar Virgo has prepared two, visa-free packages perfect for those wanting to get a taste of Japan and Taiwan in one go. The first cruise starts in Manila, moves to Naha, Japan and then Keelung in Taiwan, and returns to the original port here. The other cruise crosses to Ishigaki, Japan and then Keelung, Taiwan, and heads back to Manila after.
SuperStar Virgo has especially upped its entertainment offerings in these summer voyages, through the following themes and performers onboard. The 2018 maiden trip "The Greatest Hits Cruise with The Boyfriends and VST & Co." will headline, yes, 70s faves The Boyfriends and VST & Co. The March 30 Holy Week sailing will front PBA legends Alvin Patrimonio, Benjie Paras, Johnny Abarrientos, and Jerry Codinera as they head basketball clinics plus a basketball showcase. For those ready to get wild on Labor Day Weekend, the April 29 Labor Day Party Cruise will board sought-after DJs and party starters Patty Tiu of Deuce and Tom Taus. The May 9 Mother's Day Cruise, meanwhile, will put hunky crooner Daryl Ong onstage. Past seniors and millennials, all cruises this May will work to the delight of kids with Pororo the Little Penguin onboard, too.
