Cheat Sheet: Different Foods You Can Snack On Without Ruining Your Summer Bod!

With summer coming and going, unwilling to us, so do most of our fitness goals for the rest of the months. But, how great would it be to hang on to our beach bods as long as we can up until the next beach trip, but still enjoy the pleasures of relaxing right? This, especially after all the hard work and the countless hours in the gym! But even if it’s easier said than done, there are ways to still be able to loosen up on the diet restrictions, and snack away—worry free! Rather than getting yourself a slice of cake or a full plate of pasta to satisfy your cravings, here is a list of food that you could munch on, sans the guilt.

Greek yogurt

Give your body a boost with a single serving of Greek yogurt. Not only is it packed with protein, but it is also a natural source of probiotics to keep your gut happy. Plus, it has zero fat so you do not have to worry about losing those abs you worked hard for. Greek yogurt is also gluten-free, vegetarian, and can be handled by some lactose intolerant people. 

Raw nuts

Almonds and walnuts aren’t just fun to eat, but did you know that they also contain healthy fats, vitamins and antioxidants? A handful of these will not just fill you up quickly, but they can also lower your risk of getting heart disease. Make sure you stick to the raw varieties though, as opposed to the salted ones—that is if you still want to fit into your size 2 jeans. 

Berries

If your body is looking for something sweet to snack on, get yourself a cup of blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries. These little things can provide you with more fiber and vitamins than other fruits out there. And because they are high in fiber, there is no need to worry about bloating, so you will still be able to show off your hot body. 

Sweet Potato Fries

Forget your regular fries and go for baked sweet potato fries the next time you visit your favorite restaurant, as these are high in iron and vitamins that your body needs. Aside from that, sweet potatoes are known to complement your workout as they are the perfect food for muscle recovery. These will also keep you full for a few hours, reducing unnecessary cravings. 

Celery sticks

Celery may not sound that appealing compared to the other snacks listed above. But this is actually very good for you, especially if you are watching your weight. This is because they can get rid of excessive water in your body, while filling you up without adding that much calories. Celery isn’t just perfect for weight management, but it is quite refreshing too, so this can be your go-to snack this summer.
