28-year-old artist Yeo Kaa's lollipop-colored figures may look cute at first sight, but they surely delve deep into the darker side of things. Her display at the Art Fair PH are products of a breakup over the past year. Through her art featuring a girl and a lingering shadow figure, we got to learn about her insights on what real love is after getting out of a relationship that's been weighing her down.
Watch the artist as she talks to us a little bit about the story behind “Sorry, Sorry, Sorry:”
If only all our hugots came out as pretty as hers, the world might stop thinking that the collective emo lamentations of millennials are pointless. After all, we are still learning about life, love, and every messy thing in between.
You can view Yeo Kaa's exhibition at the Arndt Art Agency booth, Level 7, Booth 46. Art Fair Philippines is currently running at The Link, Makati, from March 1 to 4, 10am-9pm.
