In Focus: K-Pop Idols Who Will Inspire You To Get Inked

If you’ve been riding the Hallyu wave for far too long, you would know how passionate some of the idols can get when it comes to getting tattooed. They just love engraving anything sentimental onto their skin to keep them permanently inked in their memories! If you've been thinking of getting your own tattoo as well, here’s a list of K-pop idols to get your motivation going!

The King of K-Pop is quite known for his love for tats: he has at least 20 of them! His skin is basically like his diary. Every tattoo has a relation to every special event he wants to keep in his memory. One of the most popular tattoos he has is the "Too Fast To Live, Too Young To Die" quote imprinted on his back inspired by the movie Sid and Nancy which has become his life motto.

2. BIGBANG’s Taeyang

G-DRAGON and Taeyang have been best friends since childhood, so it’s no surprise that Taeyang is also a fan of getting inked. But unlike his best friend, Taeyang has only three tattoos: a large cross tattoo on his side, an image of Jesus with a cross on the back of his neck, and the word "Passion" written with images that symbolizes Catholicism. It's simply impressive how much of a devout Catholic Taeyang is!

3. Kim Jaejoong

Jaejoong has a different way of expressing himself through getting inked because unlike other artists’ tattoos that have deep personal meaning, Jaejoong dedicated portions of his skin to his fans as well as his co-members from his former boy group TVXQ including their group logo on his back. Awww! Bromance goals, right?

 4. HyunA

One of K-pop's biggest female idols, HyunA, is well known for her tattoos. Our favorite one is the inscribed quote "My mother is the heart that keeps me alive." She obviously dedicates this to her eomma, which only goes to show how strong and deep her relationship with her is!

 5. Jay Park

We heard that this K-pop star gets inked at least once each year! His tattoos are representations of his fans, family, and beliefs, which has become the preservation of everything that’s close to him. There's a compass on the side of his neck which means he won't be lost on his way to his goals. Another tat has the words "Heart of a Lion" on his right chest. He also has the Korean flag on his left arm.

6. Hyorin

Hyorin’s famous cross tattoo was supposed to a cover her scar from a stomach surgery, but it has now become her trademark. It’s always noticeable in her music videos and performances, which just makes her more alluring! She also said that it's her way to express her love for her religion.

7. SNSD’s Taeyeon

Many of you might not know this, but SNSD’s Kid Leader Kim Taeyeon loves getting discreetly inked. Instead of going for highly visible tattoos like the other idols, Taeyeon enjoys getting subtle ones. She actually has a lot of them that represents her personality like the delicate symbol of her horoscope Pisces and the word "Serenity" above her right elbow.

8. SNSD’s Tiffany

Just like her best friend Taeyeon, Tiffany also loves ink on her body. She adores subtle yet sophisticated tattoos, clearly exhibiting her chic personality. Our favorite one is the one on her rib which says, "Toujours Belle," meaning "forever beautiful" in French.

Did these Korean idols inspire you to get your own tattoo? Which one is your fave? Let us know in the comments!
