It’s pretty much an imperative to don your school colors when you catch a UAAP game live—when it comes to style rules though, it’s actually anything goes since the game venues don’t have strict dress codes. Hence, there’s no reason for you to look drab even if you’re focused on cheering your team on. Here are four celebrity looks you can cop to look stylishly cool at the games, without going over the top (it’s time to give those predictable shorts and shirts a break):
Sleek black and white. Channel actress Jane Oineza, who’s dating De La Salle Green Archer Jeron Teng, to look relaxed but polished.
Denim fun. A jumpsuit or playsuit in this fabric, like this one on UP alumna Gretchen Fullido, will make you stand out in a sea of basic shirts and jeans (but please, skip the heels).
Biker chic. It can get pretty cold at the game venues, so always have a jacket handy—a biker jacket or quirky blazer over a simple dress is an unbeatable combo for sporty occasions, just look at UST alumna Angel Locsin (pictured here with her dad). Slip into a pair of white sneakers and you’re all set, in style.
Polished sophistication. If you’re the type who still wants to exude understated elegance even while watching basketball games, take note of Ateneo alumna Bianca Gonzalez-Intal’s Parisian chic ensemble.
