Last October 24, we caught up with Team Kramer at The Mind Museum, where it was announced that the family of five are now proud endorsers of Hapee Kiddie, Hapee Buddy, and Gumtect.
The timing couldn’t be better. Halloween is fast approaching, and parents know all too well how easy it is for kids to down candy like there’s no tomorrow. Luckily, their pearly whites are unlikely to fall victim to cavities or gum problems—and not just because they’ve got good oral care to prevent either from happening.
Truth is, they aren’t the type to go door to door trick-or-treating. At the time we met them, Doug and Cheska Garcia Kramer admitted that they were planning a trip with their kids. Pictures on their social media accounts have since revealed that they went to different parts of the United States.
But Doug and Cheska’s Halloween celebrations go all the way back to the early years of their relationship. “We had fun times, kami ni Doug,” recounts Cheska. “We’d make pagawa our costumes. There were times we’d go out with our friends and we were all in costume.”
This isn’t not too different from the way they spend Halloween with children Kendra, Scarlet, and Gavin. In fact, it’s among the many events they look forward to as a family.
October 31 is usually spent with relatives and/or travelling. “Sometimes we’re out of the country or out of town. Or we go to Baguio where his parents are. We catch up because they’re not always in Manila,” reveals Cheska.
“When we visit, there are parties. They have visitors that come over with their cousins,” Doug adds.
There were a few exceptions though. According to Cheska, “Kendra used to join costume parties in our village. She won when she dressed up as a cow. But our kids are really big on costumes even if it’s not Halloween.”
It doesn’t matter whether they’re out or at home. The Kramer kids will dress whatever they feel like. “If they want go to the mall wearing costumes, we let them. Gavin’s picked up [on] his ate wearing [an] Iron Man [suit]. It doesn’t bother him. We allow our children to get creative, dress up and just be,” says Cheska.
Guess this goes to show that to each his own! Tell us, what’s your idea of a perfect Halloween?
