Happening simultaneously this October 20 to 22 is Manila FAME, widely considered as the country’s premier design and lifestyle event, and CREATE Philippines where exceptional talents in the creative industry gather together to highlight the potential of the industry as an export sector to help the economic growth of the country.
The 66th Manila FAME show this October goes back to its roots by highlighting the country’s rich cultural heritage, design excellence, and the promotion of Philippine products. The event will showcase different products using local raw materials from artisans all over the country. They will be mentored by no other than Nelson Sepulveda, a Paris-based design specialist, and Tony Gonzalez, world-renowned designer. The two experts will help participants uplift their brands not only in the country, but also internationally. Famous traditional tattooist Apo Whang-Od will also be participating in the upcoming Manila FAME show hapening in World Trade Center.

CREATE Philippines, on the other hand, is a convergence of leading personalities from the fast-growing sectors of visual arts and graphic design, advertising content and production, film and animation, communication design, music and performing arts, and digital games and apps. CREATE Philippines is a three-day event that consists of forums, exhibits featuring the country’s heritage, pocket performances from homegrown talentsm and interactive sessions, which will take place in HallONE and Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) Lobby.
Speakers for the fora underscoring the theme "Developing an International Market for Filipino Creative Content and Creative Services" are Filipinos who already made a name for themselves in their respective fields, including Walt Disney Animation Studio's Visual Development Artist Mr. Armand Serrano, Grammy Award- and Tony Award-winning Mr. Jhett Tolentino, and AKQA Shanghai’s Executive Creative Director, Mr. Eric Cruz.
