Happening simultaneously this October 20 to 22 is Manila FAME, widely considered as the country’s premier design and lifestyle event, and CREATE Philippines where exceptional talents in the creative industry gather together to highlight the potential of the industry as an export sector to help the economic growth of the country.

The 66th Manila FAME show this October goes back to its roots by highlighting the country’s rich cultural heritage, design excellence, and the promotion of Philippine products. The event will showcase different products using local raw materials from artisans all over the country. They will be mentored by no other than Nelson Sepulveda, a Paris-based design specialist, and Tony Gonzalez, world-renowned designer. The two experts will help participants uplift their brands not only in the country, but also internationally. Famous traditional tattooist Apo Whang-Od will also be participating in the upcoming Manila FAME show hapening in World Trade Center.

Here's a sneak peek of the products we'll see at Manila FAME:

Speakers for the fora underscoring the theme "Developing an International Market for Filipino Creative Content and Creative Services" are Filipinos who already made a name for themselves in their respective fields, including Walt Disney Animation Studio's Visual Development Artist Mr. Armand Serrano, Grammy Award- and Tony Award-winning Mr. Jhett Tolentino, and AKQA Shanghai’s Executive Creative Director, Mr. Eric Cruz.

So if you don’t have anything to do this weekend, why not go to Manila FAME and CREATE Philippines to see and support the country’s export products and trade industries?
