Five Looks That Will Make You As Cool and Chic As Liza Soberano’s Maria Agnes Calay in Forevermore

We all tightly held on to our seats to see what will happen next to Xander and Agnes’ rollercoaster romance, but kilig aside, two other things that were so lovable about Forevermore were its captivating setting and the characters’ quirky, well-curated wardrobes. Layering has never looked more fun before Liza Soberano a.k.a Maria Agnes Calay’s offbeat combinations of prints and colors and the rest of Sitio La Presa and Hotel Grande residents’ take on “winterwear” in the Philippines. Here are Agnes’ five chicest looks from the blockbuster teleserye that’s so dear to our hearts—and no, they’re not just all about sweaters and beanies, but yes they're very much wearable in real life.

The Signature Agnes. Much like how Liza is in real life, Agnes is ethereal and low maintenance, which showed in her daily uniform of choice: A comfy shirt (mostly in color, rarely in neutral tones; sometimes knitted varieties) + a plaid or printed jacket/sweater/pullover + work pants + boots. Utilitarian chic at its finest, this look was practical for her days picking strawberries and running errands around La Presa, yet not at all basic nor boring because of her color and print choices that reflect her free spirited personality. Nail a signature look like her by finding a color palette or a silhouette that you like best and garner compliments from other people when you're in it.

Beanie Beauty. Though Agnes opted for comfort over fashion, she sure knew how to accessorize her classic La Presa look. Her go-to piece? A bright-colored beanie, which complements her luscious head of curls and is a great mood booster especially when days up in the mountains get too cold and gloomy. Headpieces (hats, caps, headbands) are perfect for when you want to make a different statement than usual, as opposed to just wearing jewelry.

Agnes Version 2.0. When Agnes moved to Manila after Xander left for London, we saw how, from a meek lass, she blossomed into a tougher version of herself. Style-wise, she traded her layered outfits for more feminine and modern ones: In a black and white printed top and peach skater skirt, she looks hip and ready to have a good time with her friends—and perhaps charm a cutie or two. An outfit like this that combines sugar and spice will surely help you attract the right kind of attention.

Date Ready. Girls put an extra effort to looking good when they know they’ll be seeing the guys they like—or used to like, or used to be in a relationship with, and Agnes is no exception. The dainty top and skirt combo never fails to dazzle any guy, but also looks professional enough for a situation like what Agnes was in: Meeting up with her ex-boyfriend who also happens to be the key to making one of her professional goals happen. Keep in mind: It's important to dress smartly even if your primary goal is too look charming so ease up on the frou frou.

Rock Princess.  Agnes unleashed her inner singing diva at the Rakrakan Battle of the Bands decked in a slick black ensemble accentuated with a pop of color. She may not have opted to bare a lot of skin, but she surely captured everyone’s attention by coupling this rock chick look with loads of attitude. Channel Agnes’ polished vibe by going for a monochromatic outfit—it’s a quick and foolproof solution for every what-do-i-wear emergency.
