No matter how old you get, Walt Disney's legacy will always be in your heart. And while there's no arguing that The Walt Disney Studios makes the greatest films to ever hit the big screen, let's also look at Disney's television films that made their way into our hearts.
Here are the Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOM) films we all grew up to and still love to this day:
Because Halloween is just around the corner, people on social media have been digging up this old gem by Disney Channel. But no matter how much we all love this timeless Halloween classic, the question still remains: Why did they change the actor who played Marnie in the fourth movie?
2. Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior
Even though she had already made her mark on-screen as the spoiled but dim heiress on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Brenda Song wowed her fans when she transformed into the martial arts warrior, Wendy Wu. Yay, Brenda!
3. The Cheetah Girls
How can anyone not hold The Cheetah Girls close to their hearts? Galleria, Chanel, Aqua, and Dorinda weren't just friends. They were sisters (from different classes and races) who taught us the true meaning of girl power!
4. High School Musical
Do we really need to explain why we all loved the story of how the quiet and smart new girl and the biggest jock in East High fell in love and broke all high school stereotypes by singing in a school musical together? Nah.
5. Jump In!
We were all captivated by Corbin Bleu as the confident basketball jock in High School Musical. So it was no surprise when more people fell in love with him as Izzy, the son of the local boxing figure who was torn between following his father's footsteps and making his own name in Double Dutch.
6. Camp Rock
It's so refreshing to look back on the beginnings of today's biggest artists. For Demi Lovato, it was Camp Rock that gave her the big break she deserved. This instant hit taught kids everyone the most valuable trait of being young: Don't fit in. Stand out!
7. Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie
The Wizards of Waverly Place series easily became iconic so it was no wonder that Disney felt that they had to make a movie of the same title. You'd be lying if you said Selena Gomez didn't break your heart when she couldn't come up with a spell to bring her brother back!
8. Princess Protection Program
Remember that time when Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato came together to share their friendship with us through Princess Protection Program? The movie only become more valuable to their fans when the lead stars' relationship headed south not long after it was released.
If you miss these films just as much as we do, then put your nostalgia glasses on and enjoy a DCOM marathon! Which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below!
