Hong Kong is one of our favorite destinations as Filipinos: the food is amazing, shopping is great and it’s just a short plane ride away. There is just so much to do and it’s no wonder that families keep coming back for more!

But if you wanna put a spotlight on your princes and princesses, try these activities that are guaranteed to excite them! Here are 6 things you can do with your kids to make your Hong Kong trip a little more memorable than usual for your little ones!
1. Enjoy a safari experience right inside your hotel room
Talk about glamping (glam-camping!) in style! The Ritz Carlton Hong Kong offers a Ritz Kids program where kids can enjoy their own safari tent right inside their hotel room. Aside from this, they will also be given different surprises and a “passport activity” where they collect stamps from around the Ritz Carlton property. Upon completion, they will receive a prize. Guaranteed to keep your kids busy as mom and dad takes their well-deserved break (unless of course, you wanna join them on the adventure!)
2. Let them eat their favorite characters
If your girls are fans of Sanrio, they’ll wanna dine at Hello Kitty Chinese Cuisine. Not only is the entire restaurant decorated with Hello Kitty, but all the dishes prepared also bear the face of this iconic cat! Try the Hello Kitty custard buns, cantonese sponge cake and shrimp dumplings. I’m sure you won’t forget to take photos before gobbling them all up!
3. Have breakfast with Mickey and Minnie
Are your kids big fans of Mickey and Minnie Mouse? Then make sure you book a table for breakfast at any of the Disneyland hotel properties. As a staying guest, you have the privilege of character dining for breakfast where you will be given the chance to spend time with your favorite Disney characters. This is a great way to skip the long lines for photos in Disneyland!
TIP: Make sure you check which characters are appearing on which restaurant as they vary per location. Don’t miss your child’s favorite!
4. Celebrate Halloween and Christmas at Disneyland
If you’re going to Disneyland anyway, make it extra-special by visiting during special seasons. During Halloween, Disneyland is decorated with pumpkins and the Disney villains take center stage. But if that’s a little too scary for your little one, try visiting on Christmas instead and enjoy the holiday cheer! During this time, their favorite characters and dressed in holiday outfits and this year, there’s a special “snow” performance at night guaranteed to keep your kids spellbound.
5. Make them feel like VIP hotel guests
Dad’s the king and mom’s the queen, but these little ones are the real VIPs, isn’t that right? Choose a hotel with a kids program and make them feel special. Upon arrival at The Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, kids under the age of 12 receive a welcome gift complete with their own kids’ amenities. They also get their own mini bath robes and mini slippers too; perfect for that luxurious bubble bath they cannot resist!
6. For older kids: give them their thrill rides!
If Disneyland is too kiddie for your older kids, bring them to Ocean Park where they can enjoy thrill rides. And if you have younger kids with you, don’t worry! There are animal encounters that your little ones can enjoy and of course, the good ol’ Merry Go Round.
