Concentrix chose Ponciano Bernardo High School in Cubao for its volunteer work. Hundreds of employees volunteered their time to provide a clean, safe and productive place for students to learn.
Concentrix staff repainted and cleaned the classrooms, hallways, faculty centers, subject offices, rest rooms, gardens and plant boxes. The volunteers also repaired the electronic wirings of the schools’ major buildings, Gabaldon and Belmonte. These two buildings are the public school’s heritage sites, having been built in the 80s and 90s, respectively.
The company’s first major participation in Brigada Eskwela is not just its way of giving back to the community, said Concentrix Country Leader, Elek Toth. It is also their way of reminding the youth about the BPO industry and its impact in the Philippine economy and beyond.
“I value education and it’s these kids who are going to go ahead, stay in school and learn lots. They are going to be the future of the BPO organizations. This event is a perfect way to marry our CSR with the future of the company as well as the country.”
Toth added that there are more education sector-directed CSR plans to be implemented this year.

“This is just the start, but we will do more sustainable and meaningful projects with the schools. I would like my team to contribute more and touch the lives of those less fortunate. It’s always good to give back to the community.”
