Were you planning to lounge at home this Sunday? Here's a reason to get dressed and go out: La Vie en France is a festival of French food and wine, art and culture at the Makati Shangri-La. And it's available only up to today!
“In line with the 70th anniversary of French-Filipino friendship, we want to offer our guests an explosion of French culture that everyone can access right in the heart of Makati City” said Alain Borgers, Makati Shangri-La, Manila’s General Manager and Shangri-La Philippines Hotels and Resorts Area Manager. “We also hope that through this effort, we can strengthen the friendship between France and the Philippines.”
Some of our favorite offerings:
Delight in classic French pastries by world-renowned pastry chef Yves Michoux who is beloved for his signature classic pastries such as eclairs, macarons, savarin and more.
Treat yourself to Parisian-style afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge. Janat tea, known for its unique flavoring of exotic aromas and spices, is a bona fide "sip of France." Pair this with a sampler of Chef Michoux's pastries from the Patisserie Trolley.
Enjoy a la carte French classics at La Brasserie at Sage Bespoke Grill. Highlights include oysters, mussels, turbot and foie gras.
And finally, the Fromagerie, a cheese buffet at the Lobby Lounge in the evening. This is wonderful selection of 25 artisanal cheeses, from Morbier to Tome de Savoie, to pair with a range of French wines.
An exhibit by painter Pancho Francois Quilici will be on display at the mezzanine.
