UPDATE: Kriesha's Full MV for Trouble just dropped and it's everything! We're going to be playing this all day!
If you're a true blue K-pop fan (who inhales all things Korean, ya know), you've probably already heard of Kriesha Chu, the super pretty 17-year-old Filipino-American teen who auditioned and successfully made it onto the finals of Korea's top-rating reality show K-Pop Star 6: The Last Chance.
Originally a Cebuana who moved to San Francisco and was scouted by Urban Works Entertainment to be a trainee in South Korea, Kriesha charmed and wowed the show's three judges, founders of top idol entertainment agencies: YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun Suk, JYP Entertainment's Park Jin Young, and Antenna Music's Yoo Hee Yeol. Throughout the competition, Kriesha consistently impressed the judges. And while she was initially eliminated in the show's 12th episode, she was asked to return and was chosen by YG to join his team. Kriesha, who was part of the girl group KWINs, racked on the wins and eventually went on to secure a spot at the finals.
Now, barely a month after the show has ended, Kriesha is all set to conquer South Korea with her solo debut! She's already dropped a couple of teasers for her first single, "Trouble," and we're so stoked to hear the full song!
Barely two lines in the song and we're already hooked! From the teasers alone, we're betting that it's going to be a bop!
Kriesha Chu’s debut album will be released via online music sites on May 24 at 12 p.m. KST (that's 11 a.m. here in the Philippines!). Apart from the title track, it will also contain a pop R&B song featuring Highlight's Yong Junhyung called "I Want It To Be You."
Keep refreshing this page for more updates—we'll be sharing Kriesha's MV as it drops. It's going to be lit!
