Filipina fashion designer Kaye Morales is gearing up for the launch of Vomit, her newest and most daring collection to date, at this year’s Philippine Fashion Week. Known especially for streetwear, Kaye’s previous designs have been recognized locally and abroad. She’s also been featured on British Vogue. “Through [Vomit], she wants to “show people that art is everywhere. While it features my signature traits of pop art and punk aesthetics, Vomit is a collection that showcases my integrity as an artist,” she shares.
While his fellow students juggled extracurriculars with their studies, John Paulo "JP" Alparaz balanced both academics and work as a service crew member of McDonald’s. His efforts certainly paid off. He was able to support his family with his earnings, and is a recent Polytechnic University of the Philippines graduate with a degree in Human Resource Development Management. Today, he serves as a crew chief of the fast food chain, where he’s responsible for training employees and imparting the same work ethic and optimism he picked up along the way.
