The Six Fix: Yoda's Most Hugot-Packed Quotes To Inspire Even Non-'Star Wars' Fans

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, there were great creatures—Jedi, guardians of freedom and justice—in touch with nature and themselves. And, the greatest of all these was Master Yoda.

The Green Master has become one of the biggest icons of Star Wars since his introduction in The Empire Strikes Back. The juxtaposition of his unassuming countenance and his special brand of badassery (Lighting storms! Mind reading! Levitation! Greatest. Lightsaber. Wielder. Ever!) has made him the archetypal #legend of the Star Wars narrative. While Master Yoda is all this and more, it is his words of wisdom (often in his adorable backwards speak) that resonate the most.

We compiled Master Yoda’s lines from various Star Wars films for those days that we just need a little extra dose of sagery. Because, who doesn't?

Wallowing in negativity never does anyone any good. A negative mind will never yield a positive life. When you are feeling bad about anything, take a moment to acknowledge what you are feeling, recognize its root, and release yourself from its burden. Practicing this helps you build self-awareness and emotional maturity to weather even the toughest of emotional maelstroms.

“Adventure. Excitement. A Jedi craves not these things.” -The Empire Strikes Back

In this era of hyperconnectivity, we are inundated by the endless swirl of social invitations: festivals, events, vacations, parties. We've never been more aware of what we're not doing. Too much of a good thing is bad and your #FOMO moments might actually lead to anxiety attacks. Let us be aware that, sometimes, the pings, rings, and dings are unnecessary distractions that remove us from the present and rob us of productivity and meaningful interaction. By occasionally “unplugging” and tuning it all out, we don’t miss anything. Instead, we gain freedom and space to think.

Judging another person will never define who they are. It will, however, speak volumes about who *you* are. Practicing daily acts of inclusiveness and acceptance would go a long way to bridge the divisiveness that has been tearing our world apart.

We are all students of life. Each encounter and opportunity is sent our way, rife with lessons that we can grow from. By keeping yourself open to the infinite possibilities that life offers, we tap into an unlimited reserve of knowledge that can guide our journeys.

“Do. Or do not. There is no try.” -The Empire Strikes Back

Make a commitment to ~MOVE~ towards a definite goal everyday. Start by doing what is neccessary then move on to doing what is possible. Integrate this practice into your daily life. You just might surprise yourself one day by accomplishing something you thought that was impossible.

“Luminous beings are we…not this crude matter.” - The Empire Strikes Back

We all have a little spark of Divinity within us; we are all born perfect and unique, with indelible traits that make us beautiful and unique. In our darkest hours, it is good to take a step into ourselves and channel our inner awesomeness. Once you realize you’re not dependent upon anyone else to validate the sunshine within you, you wake up to the reality that love is all around and sunshine is everywhere.
