As a rising young star, many teens and tweens look up to Andrea Brillantes. Aside from her fashionable side, Andrea even has her own book #Goals to support her love for reading.

Why does she support reading? "Mas lumalawak yun imagination, mas madami kang nalalalaman, at mas madami kang malalaman na words," Andrea said during the press launch of National Bookstore's "Read Out Loud Challenge" last March 28 at National Book Store Glorietta 1.
With National's "Read Out Loud Challenge" aiming to promote reading by letting netizens post videos of them reading excerpts from their favorite book, the advocacy instantly earned Andrea's seal of approval, along with other media personalities. These include Ruffa Gutierrez, who read lines from the book The Truth and Lies My Mother Told Me:
And Radio DJ Chico Garcia, who read lines from the Pokemon Deluxe Essential Handbook:
Another big reason why Andrea, Ruffa, and Chico are giving their support for this noteworthy campaign? For every 75 videos uploaded using the #readoutloudchallenge hashtag, National Book Store Foundation will commit itself to setup one school library. The setup will have Project Aklat racks containing DepEd-approved books.
Through this campaign, the foundation hopes to setup 100 school libraries around the Philippines (that translates to 7500 videos) to promote reading to the youth. In a world that is obsessed with social media, it is more important to convince people to read books. "Iba pa din kapag nagbabasa ka: Nakaka-escape ka sa real world, tumatahimik yun surroundings mo. Maganda talaga kung nagbabasa ka kasi nakakatulong siya sa iyo," Andrea adds.
