5 reasons why Katy’s concert was spectacular

5 reasons why Katy’s concert was spectacular

Clue: It’s beyond “Firework”)

Bigger and better the second time around, and this time with more “fireworks”.

After holding a concert on 2012 at the Mall of Asia concert grounds, American pop singer Katy Perry took things up a notch by filling up the 55,000-capacity of the Philippine Arena for her second concert here in the Philippines on May 7.

Fans were dressed up in various outfits, from the simple, the sophisticated, to the eccentric. They also filled up the Philippine Arena that night, a showoff of how strong are Perry’s supporters here in the Philippines.

Being the dynamic performer she is, here’s how “Prismatic” Katy was during her sophomore concert:

1)      A fan’s outfit can catch Perry’s attention

Perry is known for her eccentric outfits, and it does not come to a surprise to see fans dress up to their most eccentric outfit. Lucky for fan Martee Viray, his outfit was unique enough, Perry even called him up on stage.

2)      Teaching Perry Filipino 101

Making the most of the opportunity, Viray taught Perry some basic Filipino words like “salamat” and “mahal kita”, to Perry’s amusement and delight. As a reward, Perry treated Viray to a YOLO selfie that Viray will definitely treasure.

3)      Perry’s sentiments as a global star

Being a world-class performer has its pros and cons, and among its cons is being away from loved ones due to the hectic schedule. Yet, 139 shows later, including her show in the Philippines, Perry continues to tour around the world to perform for her solid Katy Cat fans.

4)      It’s jam-packed with notable personalities!

Perry’s concert is attended by known personalities, which does not come to a surprise.

Among those spotted during Perry’s sophomore concert are JM de Guzman and Jessy Mendiola, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, John Prats and Isabel Oli, Julia Montes, Dimples Romana, Ruffa Gutierrez and her daughters, Darren Espanto, and the Kramer family.

5)      A lot of firsts

For her sophomore concert, Perry treated her fans to an out-of-this-world version of her hit “Firework” by letting her fans wear 3D glasses, and appreciate the unique lighting effects and elaborate designs onstage. Who says concerts can’t come up with something different?
