It’s easy to see why everyone wants to be Pia Wurtzbach. The 27-year-old winner of Miss Universe 2015 has beauty, brains, grace, and, of course, a great sense of style. Pia has been all around the world this past year, and in many ways her outfits have made headlines just as much as her official Miss Universe work has. Here are some of our favorite looks from throughout her reign and lessons learned in the art of dressing.

If you’ve got it, flaunt it. Who says you can’t rock a bikini after the holidays? In her recent trip to Hawaii, Pia sizzled in an orange, tropical print two-piece that covered just enough of her enviable curves. Did we also mention that we’re digging her choice of floppy hat, sunnies, and earrings?
Look ill even when you’re (literally) ill. Fans couldn’t get enough of the brown trench coat Pia wore on her way to the doctor. And while tropical Manila doesn’t exactly require us to wear trench coats, it won't hurt to look presentable anywhere we go.
Play around with texture and color. Pia shows us to how to take the shorts and sleeveless top combo to another level: By pairing two unlikely fabrics together and making them werq. She also shows us how pops of color can jazz up your look. We love the floral detail on her shorts and the maroon lippie; they make her look fresh even after a long flight!
You can look like a dominatrix and still be fashionable. The word ‘dominatrix’ connotes a dominating and overtly sexual woman, but Pia carries the look with such class that it doesn’t look tacky at all. Like Pia, we shouldn’t be afraid of looking fierce whether it’s for a photo shoot or we’re just out and about. Dressing like this may not be appropriate though for Sunday mass, but that’s a whole other story.
Try dressing like a doll for formal occasions. Netizens around the world likened Pia to Barbie when she wore this stunning rose-printed creation by Sherri Hill. For extra special occasions such as this, take cues from her and make sure that your hair, makeup, and accessories are just as on fleek.
Be comfortable in what you’re wearing. While running across the Bridge of Sigh, the 27-year-old kept it playful in a short, striped frock and pointed flats. She also sported brown shades, which goes to show how nice a contrast they can be with a basic, white outfit.
Make the streets your runway. Back in February, Pia was pictured strutting down a New York street looking every inch the beauty queen she is. Not only did her strappy stilettos, wide-leg jumper, and fur coat make her look très chic, but it inspired one netizen to thank her for making them feel confident, too. How heartwarming is that?
Support local designers. Pia won the coveted title in this now iconic blue gown by Albert Andrada. She again sought the help of another Filipino designer, Oliver Tolentino, for the preliminary competition. In a separate Instagram post Pia fondly recounts the story behind the two dresses.
