Have you ever heard of overnight oats? If you haven't, you're missing out on a lot! Overnights oats is one of the best pick me-upper meals out there—it's easy and convenient to make; prep time can is just less than five minutes!
You'll only be needing three things for the basic recipe: Yogurt, milk, and oats. For toppings or flavor, it's up to your imagination and taste.
1. Mix the basic ingredients together, cover, and refrigerate for hours or overnight. This will give time for the oats to soak in the liquid which is crucial since we are not cooking the oats. You may add cinnamon for flavor, honey or syrup to sweeten, and some chia seeds to add vitamins and minerals; really depends on your taste or feel.
2. Add toppings later on that do not need soaking like almond nuts, fresh or dried fruits like banana, apricot, or anything that is your favorite! You may prep these beforehand so you just pop them in when you are ready to eat.
3. You may even add jams, Nutella, and peanut butter.
