There's no doubt about it that today, access to great content has become more convenient than ever. Through our smartphones alone, we can play games, read magazines and books, watch our favorite tv shows and movies, and many more, instead of shelling out huge chunks of money to watch the actual thing (in the case of movies) or buy a physical copy (in the case of books and magazines).
Making things more exciting is ABS-CBN Publishing's partnership with MyPhone (which is now officially a multimedia company) in creating applications that benefit not just both parties, but Filipino smartphone users as well.

For ABS-CBN Publishing's (API) part, they have NoInk, a reading app that aims to bring magazine content, along with multimedia content ranging from videos to games, to people’s smartphones at a lower price. During the Transcendence Press event last October 7 at The Eye at Green Sun, API Managing Director Mark Yambot revealed that they also plan to have original video content, similar to Netflix, sometime in the future.
Part of NoInk's future goes beyond being a e-reader app, as it aims to offer more video content.
For MyPhone’s part, they have Agila, a unique advertising platform that utilizes a phone’s lock screen for brands, especially startup brands, to promote their products through the app. Aside from being an advertising platform, Agila aims to reward users (using Android) with freebies and prizes from various brands, along with offering its users important information, such as weather, traffic, and news.
A preview of Agila's interface. Aside from promos, Agila will be also have news feeds, games, THE weather forecast, and emergency announcements, among other things. All of Agila's Features will depend on the user's profile.
With collaboration as an important factor in making products and innovations successful, both ABS-CBN and MyPhone are working together to finding new ways to deliver content to the broader mass audience at an affordable cost.
