Five fresh faces are here to draw you in even closer. Last weekend's most glamorous showbiz event, the Star Magic Ball, had ABS-CBN's beautiful and dapper stars present in all sorts of formal finery. The women's makeup at the ball was exceptional in terms of artistry and illuminating ringlights lit up the night before any of these women set foot on the red carpet.

1. Kathryn Bernardo. Makeup by Denise Go-Ochoa, Hair by John Valle.
In my mind that night Kathryn Bernardo bore a striking younger resemblance of revered actress Charo Santos-Concio, especially in this portrait shot. Her minimalist gown choice paired with her signature fresh coral look by makeup artist Denise Go-Ochoa signaled sophistication, style, and effortless grace. Restraint = elegance.
2. Ylona Garcia. Makeup by Anthea Bueno, Hair by Julius Villanueva.
Youthful grace, sunkissed skin, a gown I loved, and Ylona's spot on "pop of pink champagne" makeup by Anthea Bueno made her look absolutely memorable.
3. Jodi Sta. Maria: Makeup by Albert Kurniawan, Hair by Jerry Javier.
My own mother gushed about Jodi Sta. Maria at the Star Magic Ball. Hers was her favorite overall style look. So many gushed about Jodi that evening. Albert Kurniawan's stroke of makeup genius finished off her look with dewy makeup in cool neutral tones, refined eyebrows, and ethereal, lash-y eyes. I dare you not to stare.
4. Elisse Joson. Makeup by Qua, Hair by Aries Manal.
The gorgeous half of the McLisse loveteam, Elisse, trusted the gifted hands of Qua to do her makeup. Even yet glowing skin, fluttery lashes, and pink lips all glaze Elisse's final appearance with utter romance. I particularly like Qua's restraint with blush which allows Elisse's beautiful lips to remain a focal point.
4. Liza Soberano. Makeup by Mickey See, Hair by Brent Sales.
Liza captured people's hearts that evening and took home the award for Best Dressed female wearing a powdery silver Michael Cinco gown that made me think of the magical, medieval kingdom of Camelot. Her makeup by artist, Mickey See, took the clean, extremely pared down route. Her skin was softly highlighted and overall made ever so mildly tan. Painfully subtle contouring ensured a classy makeup look that didn't overwhelm her natural beauty. Lips were a glazed neutral caramel mauve hue, her eyes were rimmed in soft brown shadow, and a pop of subtle rose blush was the touch of color on her cheeks.
