We know her as a superb actress whether as the bida or kontrabida (or a bida kontrabida as she was in the teleserye Rubi); she's also a comedienne in a league of her own, leading the top-rating gag show Banana Split Extra Scoop; and now, Angelica Panganiban excites her Instagram followers because of a different reason altogether: Her adventures in the kitchen as a budding chef with the witty hashtag #ChefKaAngge (trivia: Angge is her nickname).
Angelica, who's always been candid and honest, is the perfect role model for anyone who wants to master the art of cooking. While she actually took up a culinary course years ago, the photos she shares on Instagram shows that she does the most important thing of all: She cooks with love to come up with dishes her family, friends, and John Lloyd will enjoy.
This generation's Madame Claudia Buenavista gives her best shot every time she cooks, be it pasta dishes (from left to right: spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni, and her "pasta paandar")...
sandwiches and salads (clockwise from top left: tuna salad with grapes, grilled chicken ceasar salad, cheeseburgers, and butter, mayo, quickmelt cheese, and ham sandwiches)...
or main courses (clockwise from top left: binagoongang crispy liempo sa gata, liempo spareribs, baked salmon, and binakol).
She goes all out when it comes to preparing the ingredients and putting together the dishes, but she doesn't take herself too seriously, and instead focuses on how to make the meals she prepares truly enjoyable for whoever will be eating them--a good rule of thumb every time you put on that apron, if you ask us. Cooking, after all, isn't about doing everything perfectly, but about pouring your heart out to come up with good food... because you can never go wrong if it's done with love.
