Cheat Sheet: Fab Yet Practical Looks You Can Rock For Both Work And Play

In this world, there are two types of women: Those who looooove makeup, and those who can go through life without it. Based on experience, though, whether you're the type who can't leave the house without concealer, or lipstick, or mascara, or you can pose for photos without a stitch of makeup, a fun beauty-themed gathering will always tickle your fancy. Who can resist all things pretty and dainty, right?

One event that has been making women in the metro very happy for four years now is Rustan's Beauty Addict, the premier department store's take on a beauty celebration. This year's theme, "So Surreal," turned every hair, makeup, skincare and fragrance junkie’s grandest dreams into reality. Rustan's The Beauty Source Makati transformed into a wonderland filled with optical illusions and larger-than-life installations, with various brands from Chanel to MAC, having exciting games and surprises in store for all the guests.

Vanessa Matsunaga. Sleek, center-parted hair is low-maintenance and looks good with just about any outfit. We suggest: Using argan oil to tame frizz and baby hair so your strands look polished all day.

Lauren Reid. Strong brows are still very much in style, and you know, even if thinner brows make a comeback, we believe a fuller set of brows still makes for a cooler look. We suggest: Taking it easy on colored brow product if you don't have colored hair. Veer away from black as browns will make your features look softer, but don't go too light.

Jenny Rockett. If you want to keep the rest of your face clean while still making a statement, a vampy lippie is the way to go. We suggest: Going for maroons or brown reds for every day, and deep plums for glam nights.

Kiana Valenciano. Add some fun to your ponytail by letting some tendrils loose. We suggest: Still sticking to a center part for an updo with that Parisienne feel.

Patti Grandidge. Get the best of both worlds, feminine flair and hair out of your face, with a half updo. We suggest: Totally foregoing your part for a change! For added body, scrunch your hair.

Nicole Andersson. Shoulder-length hair? Shake it up with waves! We suggest: Concentrating the body towards the ends so you won't look too party-ready and still safe enough for the boardroom.

Tricia Centenera. But then again, more waves = more fun! Right, Tricia? Notice though how they're waves and not curls. So modern! We suggest: You master your curling iron skills. It's still the best way to achieve this look.
