While there were many standout looks at the 9th Star Magic Ball, we think these four winsome women ruled the night in their brightening style. White or light shades not only contrast the red carpet, light colors also serve as a natural light reflector beneath the face, banishing shadows and illuminating your final look. There are moments when it's tasteful to go rich and heavy but for 2015's Star Magic Ball lots of light shades lifted the evening.

Julia Montes channeled that princess vibe in a sweet yet elegant white number by Albert Andrada. The beauty of the gown was in its simplicty and the classic ballroom silhouette suited her charm perfectly.
Maja Salvador wasn't in white but was still striking in an old Hollywood-evoking light champagne colored gown by Rajo Laurel. This dress in particular reminded me of some of the lovely ones shown in Kate Winslet's movie "The Dressmaker." I can almost imagine Kate's character supervising somewhat from beyond the edge of this photo.
Kim Jones turned it up a notch last year in this sultry yet sophisticated dress by Jun Escario. It kind of evoked Brangelina memories with that high slit, and the off-shoulder top was an early nod to a trend that would last all of summer this 2016.
Last year Kathryn Bernardo swept us off our feet in this white Michael Cinco dress. You know he's good especially because it's so detailed in white and yet doesn't scream "bridal" at you. In this year's Paris Fashion Week, Michael Cinco did his homeland proud by wowing the audiences who saw the stunning and ornate creativity exhibited in his collections.
