In case you're missing out: Here’s the latest YouTube video that’s been grabbing everyone’s attention lately:
Entitled Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen, the video is performed by a Japanese fictional character named Piko-Taro (who in real life is comedian-DJ Kosaka Daimaou); the lyrics of this minute-long earworm does not mean anything. Yet the video is tagged by many as “the next Gangnam Style” thanks to Piko-Taro’s loud and outrageous costume and simple-but-funny dance moves.
The video is so viral, it even caught the attention of Justin Bieber, who called it his favorite video (we are not kidding!):
Even Xian Lim and blogger Kryz Uy (with her boyfriend Slater Young) showcased their own version of it:
Vhong Navarro, Billy Crawford, Jhong Hilario, and Kuya Kim Atienza also caught the bug, performing the viral dance on It's Showtime:
And just in case you want to try out this dance (and de-stress yourself in a hilarious manner), Piko-Taro himself has a tutorial video so that you are doing the Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen dance right:
It may look hilarious, but it can actually be a pretty good exercise routine!
