Just when you thought that social media platform Instagram has given its all, its newest feature will make you think again. On August 2, Instagram announced on its blog that it will be introducing Stories, a new (and more flexible) way to share your story for the day through multiple photos and videos in one post through a slideshow.
In addition to curating your own story, you can also get extra creative with text and drawing tools. Instead of appearing on your grid, Stories appear on top of your feed, along with the Stories of your friends on Instagram, and disappear after 24 hours. Both Android and iOS users will get to use Stories in the coming weeks.

While netizens immediately remarked that Instagram’s latest feature is a copycat of Snapchat, Instagram’s CEO is straight-out honest that their new feature is inspired by Snapchat itself. Will this latest move help Instagram gain more users?
