While our wallets may not allow us to buy designer pieces everyday, we've got allies in some high-street brands that commission high fashion designers and creative geniuses to do a limited edition capsule collection for them that marries the fashion house’s signature feel with the street brand's affordable prices. Designer pieces well within our reach? Oh yes! These collaborations have been proven to be a huge success, with almost every item flying off the racks the moment the doors open. And with pay day just around the corner, you may already want to save up for these collaborations hitting stores this year.
H&M x Kenzo. Swedish fashion chain H&M always comes up with, arguably, one of the most anticipated collaborations every year. After the massive success of the Alexander Wang and Balmain collections, they’ve commissioned fashion house Kenzo to design a collection that will showcase both brands' essence of wearable, fun, and stylish at a reasonable and affordable price. Here’s a look at H&M x Kenzo collection which will hit stores in November.
Kenzo's creative duo Carol Lim and Humberto Leon's fondness for print and color comes across in the entire collection.
NikeLab x Kim Jones. NikeLab is another brand that’s been tapping high fashion designers. And early this year, Louis Vuitton artistic director for men’s fashion, Kim Jones, revealed that he’ll be teaming with the mega sports brand. The NikeLab x Kim Jones: Packable Sport Style, inspired by the lifestyle of jet-setting athletes, came out this month. Kim Jones, being the well-travelled man that he is, understands that "packability" is important, especially for athletes that are training or competing internationally, without compromising style, of course. And for his capsule collection for NikeLab, he created pieces that can be folded neatly and tucked in a bag without taking too much space.

UNIQLO x Christophe Lemaire. Christophe’s first two collections for Japanese brand UNIQLO was a real hit that they named him artistic director for the brand. Now, he comes up with his first ever collection for UNIQLO U that promises to reinvent the basics to anything but basic. It will be rolled out in stores in October.
And this one you can enjoy just about now:
adidas x Pharrell NMD. The singer/songwriter has been teasing his fans about a new collaboration with the sportswear giant, adidas, for months. After the success of the Pharrell x Superstar Supercolor collection, fans have been looking forward to his take on the famed NMD that is “Human Race.” It dropped in select stores worldwide this month.
