YouTube star Bretman Rock has wowed (and continues to wow) us all with his stellar makeup tutorials, but did you know that he's actually gifted with athletic prowess, too? He's a member of his school's track and field team!
In this Sports U segment, Bretman shares to Dyan Castillejo how he keeps himself competition-ready for all his track and field events. Here are some of his fitness tricks:
1. On tying your shoes. Bretman suggests doing the loop lacing method, which helps in making your shoe fit perfectly, while lessening foot fatigue as well.
2. On the proper posture for sprints and long runs. Bretman suggests you do the "Barbie hands" position right before the starting line, with your chest passing through the line before starting.
3. On jumping over hurdles flawlessly. Bretman practices his high kicks all the time, as it is an effective way for him to jump over hurdles easily.
4. On working out while at the track field, Want to tone your upper body while you're at the track field? Bretman suggests walking while carrying a hurdle bar.
