Renowned director Brillante Mendoza adds a new accolade to his long list of achievements, via the 69th Cannes Film Festival nomination of his latest film, Ma’ Rosa. This marks Mendoza’s fourth inclusion to the prestigious film festival, which include Sebris (2008), Kinatay (2009), and Taklub (2015).
Part of the cast of Ma’ Rosa includes Julio Diaz, Felix Roco, Jomari Angeles, and mother-and-daughter tandem Jaclyn Jose and Andi Eigenmann. In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Andi says she's very happy to be part of a film that's recognized internationally. Also, she adds that working with Mendoza is a dream come true for her.

Ma’ Rosa’s story revolves around a sari-sari store in Metro Manila involved in illegal drug trade.
"Sobrang sarap po ng pakiramamdam na nare-recognize, hindi lang ng kapwa Pilipino, kung hindi pati na rin ng mga tao sa buong mundo kung ano po ang kaya nating gawin," Andi notes.
