Cheat Sheet: What We Learned About Couple Style from Isabelle Daza and Adrien Semblat

Before we all went off on our different ways for the long weekend, we got served the most kilig news so far in all of the Philippines for February: Actress Isabelle Daza’s engagement to her French beau, adidas Country Manager Adrien Semblat. The couple, who has been together for six years, couldn’t have announced the new chapter in their relationship better than through a stunning magazine editorial shot in the breathtaking surroundings of Morocco.

While Isabelle has been mum about her then rumored engagement, Adrien actually popped the question several months back when they were vacationing in Turkey—we’re totally digging how this couple is able to keep their relationship more special by protecting their privacy.

But what we’re lovin’ more is Isabelle and Adrien’s cute couple style! Their stellar personal styles combined warrant #relationshipgoals, no matter what their chosen outfits for the day are. Isabelle and Adrien’s spot on looks will surely excite you and your guy to step up your couple style game:

The easiest route to take when coordinating your outfits? Agree on a color or print or texture of the day, and have one—and only one—item in each of your looks be in your theme of choice.

High-low is the way to go. Aside from mixing high end brands/designer pieces with less expensive ones, this can also mean pairing dressy pieces with casual ones: Belle's take on this was a printed dress + sneakers combo, and Adrien wore classic leather shoes with his denims.

Flash lenses are all the rage, but who needs them when there are classic eyewear shapes that come in cute prints? For their Europe trip over the holiday break, Belle’s choice was mod black and white sunnies, while Adrien’s was an animal print pair.

Instead of always going for structured white pieces, pick more relaxed versions—they’re as sophisticated, sans the stuffy feel. And girls, your guy’s entire outfit doesn’t always have to be in the same color palette as yours: One item (either his shirt, his pants, or his jacket) is enough.

Harness the power of neutrals and light hues. You and your man can actually wear different light colors and still look coordinated because light hues, no matter how nondescript your outfit is (even if it's just swimwear!) beautifully complement each other, always.
