A resurgence of a great sartorial tradition, designers seemed to be partial to red tartan print in oversized proportions and it’s not hard to see why: Red adds a major dose of color amid the sea of blacks and navies. From Chanel to Vivienne Westwood, it’s all about being bold but nevertheless elegant. Paired with complementing check patterns and sturdy shoes, the key to looking great in the season’s plaid is to go big and bright.
TO THE SCOTS. Inspired by the Scottish tradition of wearing kilts, wear your plaid on your skirt. A midi length gives enough room to show the print off.

PRINT BLOCKING. Instead of color blocking, why not try it with prints? Done in complementary colors, it’s a look that’s extreme but still very much put together.

LAYER GAMES. Mixing prints and textures are very much on-trend. Keep an eye out for furry overcoats to pair with your oversized prints.
