Do you ever lay in bed at night and wonder why the love of your life hasn’t come along yet? Why you still remain on your toes when all others are being swept off their feet? Well if you’re among those who do, let Ejay Falcon of Pasion de Amor clues you in how he keeps his cool while waiting for The One in three simple steps.
Spend Your Time Wisely
Now you may think how spending your time wisely affects the waiting game on a grander scheme. Simple: when you’re preoccupied with stuff that makes you happy, you start to think less and less of the loneliness. As for Ejay, he recommends spending time with your friends as he does, “Yon mga oras nila, bigay na lang nila sa mga kaibigan nila. Kasi ako ganon eh, ako talaga pag may free time, doon sa mga kaibigan ko.”
Keep it Active
Get into sports, dancing, hand mime, cooking or anything that will make you active for that matter. Instead of hopelessly waiting, put yourself out there and enjoy the ride as cliché as that may sound. Develop a hobby or even a healthy “vice”.
“Ang bisyo ko kasi sports, so ‘dun talaga lahat talaga binibigay ko don,” Ejay further shares.
But Slow it Down
Having learned from his previous relationship, Ejay reminds that while people tend to be in a rush to find love and jump from one “boat” to the other, it’s still a rule of thumb to slow down. “Hirap kasi pag padalos-dalos, ang hirap mag-madali… ‘Yon last na relationship ko galing dun, so ayoko na maulit ‘yon na parang nag-mamadali sa lahat ng bagay.”
He also assures, “kaya talagang hinay-hinay lang, darating yan.”
And for anyone curious how Ejay knows when he finally finds the one? We got two words for it: KILIG FACTOR.
He reveals, “Bihira akong kiligin talaga. As in napakabihira kong kiligin na tao. Di ‘yon basta basta… Pag naka-kasama ko siya, pag ‘yon madalas kaming magka-sama at di nawawala ‘yon, parang di ako natu-turn off sa isang tao, nandun padin un kilig, feeling ko eto na un. Ganun lang ka-simple ako, basta importante sakin un kilig kasi napaka-bihira, kilalang kilala ko un sarili ko.”
So watch out for those sparks and if you can’t feel it yet, don’t force it. Trust us, good things are worth waiting for.
