Kruger wowed in silver and white at the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday night.
The 39-year-old actress looked incredible in her Prada gown as she walked the red carpet for the opening ceremony of the world-famous event.
The gown featured a high neckline with cut outs on the side, with a white and silver cape detail attached on the back.
Diane teamed the dress with a white and red clutch bag, diamond bracelet, and earrings.
She completed the ensemble by wearing her blonde hair gently teased into a curly updo, keeping her makeup chic and simple.
Diane has become something of a fashion icon over the past few years thanks to her unique sense of style and ability to make any outfit look flawless.
The star previously revealed she uses fashion as a means of expression.
“Clothes to me are an external expression of a state of mind, or a reaction I want to get from people," she told Harper’s Bazaar Australia magazine. "Fashion is just a fun way for women to show our colours. Guys buy a car.”
She may enjoy dressing up but the blonde star admits posing for photographers at showbiz events is quite daunting.
However, Diane looked anything but intimidated as she posed at the Venice Film Festival.
“Red carpets are a stressful, bizarre situation. Imagine having all those people yell at you and take photos. Not the most comfortable moment," she sighed. "It’s ridiculous. Honestly, I just don’t care what people say. It’s not worth worrying about. I care about the film I’ve just made and what my boyfriend says when I walk out of the door.”
Diane had some competition at the film festival from Elizabeth Banks and model Alessandra Ambrosio, who both also opted for white ensembles.
Silver Style Rules to Follow So You Can Dazzle Like Kim Chiu, Maxene Magalona, and Sarah Geronimo
Tip: Keep it sweet. You don’t want to look like you’re going to an intergalactic-themed party, hence, opt for a simple silhouette that will highlight your assets (off shouldered or asymmetric cut gowns, like Maxene’s, if you want to put the spotlight on your collarbone and draw attention to your face as well). Avoid anything too elaborate, because when it comes to silver, it’s best to let its luster speak for itself.
Tip: Always go for opulent fabric. Silver looks best when it comes in a luxe fabric like silk. Take advantage of this combination by asking your designer to explore drapes or other design techniques that bring out its elegance—just look at the skirt of Kim’s gown.
Tip: Use silver as the accent. You may also take the other route: Pick a basic color and make silver the cherry on top. The result? Edgy and glam all the way—case in point: Sarah’s white gown with silver embellishments. It stands out in all the right ways without looking out of this world.
