Lemongrass Iced Tea
100 grams or 1 bundle fresh lemongrass
1 teaspoon fresh mint leaves
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, cleaned?
2 cups water
2 cups hot water
2 Earl Grey tea sachets
1/4 cup white sugar
5 ice cubes
1. Wash and clean lemongrass. With a mortar and pestle, mash lemongrass, mint, and ginger. Place in a pot and add water. Allow to simmer until flavor is incorporated with the water. Allow to cool at room temperature.
2. In a separate container, add hot water, Earl Grey tea sachets, and white sugar. Allow flavors to incorporate, about 10 minutes. Once done, discard sachets and mix vigorously.
3. In a glass pitcher, mix together the lemongrass mixture and Earl Grey tea. Fill with ice cubes. Serve immediately.
