One may overlook the windows of our house, yet knowing the different kinds of curtains will help you in giving life to your windows. Here are the five common types of curtains that one may consider using in adding some character to your windows:
These fabric shades pull up into pleats when on top of your window, and become flat when pulled down. They are fitted with rings on the edges, and cords to bring them up or down. One may opt to use them as is or with another set of curtains.
These have metal, rubber, or plastic rings, also known as “grommets”, that are used to reinforce rod holes at the top of curtains. The fabric in these kind of curtains run sideways, and are used as fixed panels.
The curtains on these are made of fabric, vinyl, or plastic that roll up through the help of a spring loaded cylinder. These kind of curtains are commonly seen at offices and condominiums.
These type of curtains are fixed, and are held up by ribbons or fabric tapes sewn at the the top, where the rod runs through.
