It really is time to let go of our sundresses and flip flops and transition to parkas, jackets, and rain boots, your colder weather style pegs? James Reid and Nadine Lustre. Check out how they kept themselves warm in cold (well, colder than Manila, that is) California, where they shot part of their upcoming teleserye On the Wings of Love:
Leather Spirit. To upgrade your look, switch up our usual jackets and hoodies with a leather version—it instantly makes even the simplest outfit chicer while protecting you from the weather. James and Nadine are both just in basic tops and bottoms, but their leather jackets lend their looks panache.
Scarf Satisfaction. Scarves serve a variety of purposes so always have one handy in your bag: Wrap it around your neck to keep you warm like Nadine did, use it to protect your head when raindrops start to fall, or if the weather’s kinder and the sun is out, make it an accessory to jazz up your look.
Cap Command. Guys, caps are your scarves. While you wear them to look hip on most days, it’s practical to always have one with you every day this season what with the higher chance of downpours daily. If you want something more practical and less of a hassle, opt for a hoodie (James has both a hoodie and a cap on)—you just put it on and forget about it.
Cool Hues. It makes sense to wear cooler hues this time of the year: Denim/blue + white ensembles like James and Nadine’s counteract the gloominess of the rainy season. You don’t really need bright pops of color to look more fun, this combination is a fresh alternative.
