Proud millennials will argue that the years 1990 to 1999 were all that and a bag of chips. We can't blame ourselves. It was this period that we were first introduced to a hilarious group of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. living in New York and the ditzy yet well-meaning Cher Horowitz from Beverly Hills. Before streaming and Netflix existed, kids would spend their days in front of actual television screens watching exciting, action-packed cartoons like Pokemon or Dragon Ball Z. Gen Y's younger selves went crazy for Hanson brothers and the boys of NSYNC, and knew the lines to every single song from pop idols like Spice Girls to rock legends like Nirvana.
Needless to say, their impact on culture was massive—enough for entertainers of the time to be considered iconic. A handful would either want to go back to or wish they were part of such a rad generation. Until someone finally gets around to inventing time travel, perhaps the next best thing would be to show this decade some appreciation.
