The weather was intense, the music was bangin', and the style? Totally inspiring. Despite last weekend's weather-related snafus—at one point, the entire stage was relocated due to torrential downpours—festival goers powered through to celebrate music, the beach, and good vibes in stylish form. We found ourselves OOTD-stalking at the Lio Beach Festival in El Nido, Palawan to check out how the crowd did festival fashion. We're happy to report that we came away with some pretty solid evidence that the festival is a badass center of excellent, edgy sartorial taste.
While floral headdresses have become de rigeur festival wear, the crowd at this weekend's Lio Beach Festival looked to other trends to express themselves. Headbands were few, but indigenous fabric in a variety of iterations were in full force, a fitting tribute to the Philippine Independence Day weekend revelry. Crop tops and bralets were the event's most popular pieces, whether paired with printed palazzo pants or a cute pair of denim cutoffs. As for accessories? Easy. Tassel earrings and handwoven bracelets ruled. For the gents, funky shirts, whether collared or round necked, seemed as crucial an accessory as an all-access pass.
