Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez may have gotten more attention for her quite controversial words of wisdom a.k.a "Melanisms," but let's not forget that before all that, she was a model who wowed with her grace and statuesque good looks. And even now, decades later after her foray into modeling and showbusiness, there's no doubt she's still got it.
Even in her 50s, Melanie knows how to slay it.
But even better, today, there's more of Melanie that's making buzz on the runway: In the person of her daughter, Michelle Dee, Bench endorser and budding catwalk queen, that is. It's no secret that Michelle wants to follow her mother's footsteps, and we think she's been doing a pretty nice job.
Michelle definitely got that Melanie modeling prowess.
We won't be surprised if Michelle decides to also follow her mother's beauty queen track... and we've got a good feeling she'll be successful in this arena as well. No, not just because of the obvious that's her beauty, but also because she's got that presence that will make you notice her in any room, and has also got the brains (she's a psychology graduate from De La Salle University).
